Gretchen Rossi Is Still Fighting Her Ex-Boyfriend In Court

Gretchen Rossi is requesting her ex-boyfriend, Jay Photoglau, be forced to pay the money he owes her regarding a defamation, libel and invasion of privacy lawsuit.

Years ago, the Real Housewives of Orange County star was awarded a $500,000 judgement ($500,000 in legal fees, and $24,000 in damages) against Photoglau, after he reportedly shared inappropriate photos of the star during her time on the Bravo series. Following their day in court, Photoglau filed for bankruptcy, requesting his judgement be erased.

On April 10, Radar Online reported Gretchen Rossi had filed court documents, requesting Photoglau not be excused from paying her the money he owes her.

“Rossi respectfully requests that this Court grant her motion for summary judgment and determine that the 2012 Judgment against Photoglou and in favor of Rossi is non-dischargeable. In the alternative, Plaintiff seeks summary adjudication of any or all of the first through eighth affirmative defenses in favor of Plaintiff and against Photoglou.”

Despite Gretchen Rossi’s legal battle against her ex, she doesn’t appear to be concerned with material things as much as she is with her loved ones.

On Instagram on April 12, Rossi shared the following message with fans.

“Take time to stop and ponder on what is important In life……..No materialistic thing can compare to the love I have in my life from my friends, family, and partner @sladesmiley but especially from my Heavenly Father!”

Gretchen Rossi appeared on The Real Housewives of Orange County beginning in season four, when she was engaged to an older man named Jeff. Following Jeff’s passing, after a battle with leukemia, Rossi began dating Slade Smiley, who had also dated Jo De La Rosa, one of the original five housewives. Although Gretchen Rossi and Smiley’s relationship raised questions with her co-stars, at least at first, because of his history of dating housewives (he also briefly wooed Lauri Waring-Peterson), they eventually proved they were in it for the long haul during season eight, when Rossi proposed to Smiley.

While many fans wanted to see what was next for the couple, Gretchen Rossi did not return to The Real Housewives of Orange County for season nine. Instead, she and Alexis Bellino moved on. However, despite rumors they were fired, Rossi insists she left willingly.

As the Inquisitr reported last month, Gretchen Rossi and Slade are reportedly still telling friends they were not fired. At the time, a source told Radar Online that Gretchen Rossi and her fiancé wanted to get away from the drama.

Gretchen Rossi’s request remains under submission of the judge.
