Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge’s ‘Bling Ring’ Burglar Cuts Plea Deal

The alleged ringleader of Hollywood’s notorious “Bling Ring” gang will serve two years behind bars as part of a plea deal for breaking into the homes of actress Lindsay Lohan and reality star Audrina Patridge.

Nicholas Prugo, one of the key members of the so-called Bling Ring, has confessed to stealing designer clothing, art, jewelery and cash from the Hollywood Hills homes of several celebrities including Lohan, Patridge, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson and Orlando Bloom.

The plea came in exchange for Prugo testifying against three other people suspected of helping him break into the homes of stars.

In total, Prugo and his gang is said to have netted more than $3 million from the celebrity burglaries.

Two others charged in the case, Rachel Lee and Alexis Neiers, also accepted plea deals. Prugo, 21, said Lee helped plan the break-ins. She was sentenced to four years in state prison after pleading no contest to burglarizing Patridge’s home.

Neither Lindsay Lohan nor Audrina Patridge, a star of “The Hills” series, attended the hearing.

Prugo will be sentenced May 4, or after the cases against the remaining defendants have concluded. He is expected to receive two years in California state prison for his crimes.

In the meantime, remember, you can soon learn all about this whole sordid affair at your friendly neighborhood multiplex.

“Lost In Translation” director Sofia Coppola will write and direct a film, titled “Bling Ring,” all about the big-money break-ins. Emma Watson is also reportedly attached to star in the sensational story.
