Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Announcement Mocked In ‘SNL’ Spoof [Video]

Saturday Night Live started off its Taraji P. Henson-hosted episode by poking fun at Hillary Clinton’s much anticipated presidential announcement in the show’s cold open.

With Kate McKinnon as Clinton, SNL played on the recent buzz in the media about Clinton making a formal declaration this Sunday via social media of her intended 2016 presidential run.

“Citizens! You will elect me! I will be your leader!” Clinton said into her phone’s camera as her aide (Vanessa Bayer) stands close by and tries to coach her to soften her facial expressions and appear more relatable for her social media debut.

“Personal and intimate? Yes, I better take off this jacket then,” Clinton said as she took off her suit’s blue jacket, only to reveal an identical one underneath.

The sketch also featured a guest appearance from SNL alum Darrell Hammond, who reprised his role as Bill Clinton.

Hillary Clinton’s predicted presidential announcement was officially made public this Sunday, and she will face official GOP opposition from Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
