Indianapolis Shooting Suspect Plans To Turn Himself In Next Week, Wants To ‘Chill’ This Weekend

An Indianapolis shooting suspect plans to turn himself in to police some time next week, but wants to “chill” this weekend, WTHR (Indianapolis) is reporting.

Domonique Stone, 24, is wanted by Indianapolis police for a shooting on April 5 that injured five people, including three children.

Police were called to an apartment complex in northwest Indianapolis at about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night, according to WXIN (Indianapolis), after a “shots fired call.” Five people were shot, including a 24-year-old woman and an infant, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and hand. A “high-powered assault rifle” was used in the shooting.

There were no signs of forced entry, and police said at the time that the shooters and the victims knew each other. Police do not know, as of this post, what led to the shooting, according to Indianapolis Metro Police Department spokesperson Richard Riddle.

“We do know the suspects were inside the residence and there is no forced entry that we believe occurred to get into the residence. So they were obviously inside the residence prior to the shooting. We do not have any runs to this location previously. And that’s where we stand at this point.”

Domonique Stone was one of three suspects named in the shooting. A second suspect was believed to have used a carjacked SUV in the crime. As of this post, the other two suspects in the shooting have not been publicly identified or apprehended.

Stone faces charges of burglary, armed robbery, robbery, and carrying a handgun without a license. Police consider him to be armed and extremely dangerous, and say he refuses to turn himself in.

However, as WHTR reports, he may yet be planning to turn himself in, but once he’s had time to enjoy what may be his last few days of freedom for a while. An anonymous tipster told Indianapolis police that the shooting suspect plans to turn himself in, but not until Monday or later, because he just wants to “chill” for the weekend.

Apparently, the shooting suspect fails to realize that he’ll have plenty of time to “chill” in a prison cell.

It’s unclear what the shooting suspect plans to do during his remaining chill time this weekend; perhaps watch Saturday Night Live?
