‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Players Can Earn Free Chests In The Weekend’s Multiplayer Leveling Event

Over the weekend, players that enjoy the Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer have a new operation to complete. The BioWare developer announced the current operation event, “Trial by Fire,” on the official Twitter account for the Dragon Age series earlier today formally kicking off the weekly event for players across the world.

This time around, agents are tasked with earning levels and taking on perilous challenges. Specifically, Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer participants will need to complete five matches on perilous; the most difficult level designed for characters higher than level 16. Doing so will earn the player a Commendation Chest. Another agent-specific goal includes earning 10 levels as certain classes during the event. Gaining 10 levels on the Alchemist, Assassin, Elementalist, Katari, Necromancer, and Templar will earn another Commendation Chest.

Even more loot can be earned if the community completes their specific community goal. As pointed out on the official Dragon Age: Inquisition website, the community goal is separated by platform. Playstation 4 and Xbox One players will need to earn 100,000 levels together to earn their Victory Chest while those on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 need only earn 15,000. Players on PC must earn 50,000 in order to receive their Victory Chest. Players have to act quickly, though; they only have until early Monday morning to meet the goal.

“Mission: Trial by Fire begins at 10 am PST Friday, April 10, and ends at 5 am Monday, April 13.”

“Trial by Fire’s” second agent goal of earning levels across specific classes is something new players might not be able to complete. These classes need to be crafted with materials found from salvaging equipment or obtained randomly from chests. Players start with none of those classes, but at least new players could grind a basic character to a level high enough to complete a perilous Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer match for at least one Commendation Chest. They might even find one of the goal-specific classes whiling working on the other goal.

On the single-player side of things, the Black Emporium is still coming. The free update will let Inquisitors change their appearance after character creation by visiting a mirror most likely located in Skyhold. The Black Emporium’s release was documented by the Inquisitr with additional details on Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s first single-player DLC Jaws of Hakkon. Both are scheduled to release in May. This will be the first time players on a Playstation console and the Xbox 360 will be able to play Jaws of Hakkon since there was an exclusivity deal for the DLC to appear first on Xbox One and PC.
