‘Revenge’ Season 4 Spoilers: Louise’s Loyalties, Plus An ‘Everwood’ Reunion

The world may now know that Emily Thorne is really Amanda Clarke on Revenge, but that only is going to raise even more problem for Emily VanCamp’s character. In fact, those problems may even be coming from someone who has helped her in the past.

At the end of the last Revenge Season 4 episode that aired, as expected after seeing the previews, Emily shocked everyone when, in the process of trying to clear Daniel’s name, she told most of the truth about what happened the night he was killed (while protecting Jack as well) and the whole truth about her identity.

“We’re all aware of the scandal casting a shadow over tonight’s announcement. The board elected not to name the research wing after my ex-husband because people believe he broke into my house and tried to attack me. That is the story that I told that night. But none of it is true. The truth is that Malcolm Back was my attacker. He tried to kill me, and Daniel Grayson took a bullet that was meant for me. That night, Daniel saved my life. I told this story to protect myself and the ones that I love, but it only festered. And tonight, it stops. I know that none of this makes sense. There are many unanswered questions, like why was I even attacked that night. There’s only one explanation. There’s one secret that I kept, and it has cost the ones I love more than I ever wanted. I am David Clarke’s daughter. I am Amanda Clarke.”

With that, the big secret was out, and now it’s just a matter of what happens next. Relive that moment by watching the video below.

This came soon after Victoria planted doubts in Louise’s head about just how much Nolan really tells her, and now that she knows that her husband (until the papers are signed, at least) hasn’t been completely honest with her, how will she react? Well, it looks like she might just go over to Victoria’s side, based on the preview photos, like the one above and the ones ScreenSpy has posted, for Revenge Season 4 Episode 20, “Burn,” airing April 19.

As showrunner Sunil Nayar told TVLine, for Louise, it really comes down to trust.

“Louise is someone who’s always looking for, not just love, but someone she can trust. Betrayal is a touchstone for her, and she’s learned a lot of new facts she didn’t know before – especially things that her husband didn’t tell her, like who Amanda Clarke actually was. …You’re going to see her take a very interesting turn. She’ll start to question her fidelities to everybody she’s met on the show and make some very dramatic decisions as we head towards the finale.”

As for how Victoria will react to the big secret being out, Nayar has said that she’s “energized” in her attempts to take her down, and she may not be the only one.

“Amanda’s now open to the world, and there’s going to be a bit of a calling on the carpet for her,” the showrunner teased.

Amanda, after all, did some not-quite-legal things in her quest for revenge and to clear her father’s name. This could explain why, in the photo that Tom Amandes, who played VanCamp’s father on Everwood, posted on Twitter of him with VanCamp on set for Revenge Season 4, they are in a courtroom and she appears to be wearing an orange jumpsuit. (Is he playing her lawyer?) His tweet to go along with the photo is perfect.

Revenge Season 4 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
