Josh Murray Talks Contact With Andi Dorfman, Future Wife Qualities And Reality TV Plans

Josh Murray was recently in New York City, not to see his former fiancee Andi Dorfman, but for work. Yet he can’t avoid questions about her. During an AdvoCare mixer, Josh talked to OKMagazine.com about his failed engagement to the former The Bachelorette star and the possibility of him returning to TV to find love again.

About five months after The Bachelorette finale, just days after attending a red carpet event as a couple, Andi and Josh suddenly announced their split. Josh explained to OK! that their differences were just too great.

“We’re very different people in a lot of very important ways. It just unfortunately didn’t work out in the end.”

He also admitted that they don’t have much contact with one another.

“She lives in New York and I’m in Atlanta and I’ve been very, very busy, as I’m sure she has a hectic schedule. We really don’t have much time to really speak much.”

Andi may not be all that interested in talking to Josh. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Andi tweeted about taking the high road days after Josh replied with a resounding “no” when asked during a media interview whether he misses Andi. During that interview, Josh also said that he’s open to following Chris Soules’ shoes on The Bachelor.

“If I had the chance to be the Bachelor then I would think about it. But there’s no other way I’d go on [The Bachelorette]. It was a great experience, but I did that already and I’m kind of moving on from that specific part of my life.”

After his relationship with Andi Dorfman, Josh Murray has a better idea of what he’s looking for in his future wife.

“Somebody that is a family-oriented person, somebody that likes to chill.”

Josh, who recently sat in the audience and watched Chris perform with Witney Carson on Dancing with the Stars, said that he’s also open to putting on his dance shoes. “Who knows what’s going to happen in the future, but it looks like a fun time!” he said.

One thing he doesn’t seem to be going on is this summer’s Bachelor in Paradise. When asked if he’s going to be on the show’s second season. Josh said that he hasn’t even thought about joining the show. On Wednesday, Entertainment Weekly reported that the show was going to premiere with a 2-hour special on Sunday, August 2. Before that begins, The Bachelorette, starring both Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe, at least initially, will premiere on Monday, May 18.

In late March, the franchise’s creator and producer, Mike Fleiss, tweeted that they were putting together the cast for Bachelor in Paradise. He teased that the cast was going to be “incredible.”
