Lindsay Lohan Promises “Not To Let Anyone Down”

Lindsay Lohan promises that she’s “clean and sober” and ready to stay that way while getting her acting career back on track. Speaking about her recent troubles and her attempt to clean up her act the actress claims that she has become a “homebody” and that she now prefers to stay home rather then heading out to party every single night.

To kick off what she hopes will be a Britney Spears style turnaround Lohan will host NBC’s Saturday Night Live this weekend while her new movie about the life of Elizabeth Taylor for which she plays in the lead role will begin production in the near future.

Lohan told NBC Today Show host Matt Lauer that repairing her image will likely be a long and arduous process and that she’s ready for the challenge.

Speaking to Lauer Lohan reveals of fixing her image:

“I think that that’s gonna take — I think that takes time. And I think that it’s actions. Because people can say things all they want, but I think I still need to go through the process of proving myself, you know, with SNL, being on time, being, you know, keeping my – can’t say the word – stuff together.”

In the meantime Lindsay Lohan says her SNL gig is a scary step forward but that she promises “not let anyone down, especially myself.”

Talking about her preparation for the Elizabeth Taylor movie Lohan revealed:

“We’re in the middle of casting and figuring– we start production soon. I’ve been doing tons of research. But I’ve always kind of researched her. She’s always been a fascinating woman to me. So I’m really honored. And I will not let anyone down, especially myself.”

Do you think Lindsay Lohan is being honest with her fans and with herself this time around or is she headed for yet another trainwreck in the near future?
