Paul Walker Fans Tearful After Seeing Ending To ‘Fast And Furious 7’

There is no doubt that Furious 7 is the most emotional of all the Fast and Furious movies. Like its predecessors, the movie is an adrenaline pumping thrill ride, but Paul Walker fans worldwide cannot help to tear up as the movie’s heart wrenching finale was revealed.

Heartbroken fans took to social media to express their grief over Furious 7. On Twitter, an emotional fan posted, “Every time I see the ending of furious 7 my heart aches. I began to cry. Such a beautiful ending for Paul… I miss u everyday Paul Walker.”

Another commended the ending saying, “Not gonna lie, I shed a few tears at the end of Furious 7. The tribute to Paul Walker was very well done.”

Even Walker’s co-star Vin Diesel took part in remembering the actor. On his Facebook page last Monday, Diesel wrote, “Pablo, this weekend, you turned the world into a family… Thanks for the love…”

It wasn’t easy to pull off that “well done” finale, as the movie’s makers had to explore a lot of options to continue Furious 7‘s filming. To move forward with the movie, they made use of body doubles and computer-generated graphics to finish Walker’s scenes. The actor’s younger brothers also stood in for him to finish the record-breaking movie which generated $384 million on its opening weekend worldwide.

The producers of Furious 7 were also faced with a big dilemma: what should happen to Walker’s character? They felt that killing his character off would be a bad move, even if it involved a noble death. Instead, the movie’s makers formulated an ending that paid homage to the Walker in “the most sincere and elegant way”.

“If they had gone down the other path, I think I would have refused to finish making this movie,” Furious 7 director James Wan said.

Grief over the actor’s death has been so widespread that it even reached the music industry. Rapper Wiz Khalifa also honored Walker in his new “See You Again” music video which shows the late actor’s friendship with his Fast and Furious family. The track is included on the Furious 7 soundtrack album and features vocals by Charlie Puth.

Walker died at the age of 40 in a tragic car crash. The actor was on a break from filming Furious 7, where he played the role of lawman-turned-outlaw Brian O’Conner.
