Bethenny Frankel’s Return: Kristen Taekman Talks ‘RHONY’ Season Seven

Bethenny Frankel is back, and according to Kristen Taekman, her return has made for quite the interesting dynamic amongst the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City. In an interview with Glamour on April 7, Taekman opened up about Bethenny Frankel’s series comeback.

“There are so many of us this year—there are eight women—so it’s interesting with the return of [Bethenny Frankel] because she’s really close to half of the girls and getting to know the other half. It’s an interesting dynamic. She definitely shakes things up in a really great way.”

Taekman claimed Bethenny Frankel, as well as a number of the other women, including Sonja Morgan, LuAnn de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Carole Radziwill, Ramona Singer and Heather Thomson, are in different places in their lives, both personally and professionally, but overall, they’ve gotten along okay.

As the Inquisitr reported, Taekman hinted at drama with Bethenny Frankel earlier this year. Speaking to the New York Daily News, the second season housewife claimed Bethenny Frankel hadn’t made it easy for the new women of the cast to get to know her.

“I thought that with [Bethenny Frankel], it’s like you can’t judge a book by its cover. But I think my tune is changing a little bit,” Taekman told the site of her meeting with Bethenny Frankel.

“I feel like I was looking forward to really getting to know her, and at this point I feel like that hasn’t really happened in a way that I wanted to.”

Bethenny Frankel left The Real Housewives of New York City after the show’s third season, and moved on to her own Bravo spinoff, Bethenny Getting Married, which followed her and her then-husband, Jason Hoppy, as they tied the knot and prepared for the arrival of their daughter, Bryn, now age four. For the second season, the series was renamed Bethenny Ever After, and the show continued to give fans an inside look at Bethenny Frankel’s personal and professional life. After season three, Bethenny Frankel quit the show, and moved on to a short-lived talk show, titled Bethenny.

In the years since, Bethenny Frankel has attempted to keep her personal life private. Then, in October of last year, she officially announced she’d be returning to the Real Housewives for season seven.

For more Bethenny Frankel, tune into The Real Housewives of New York City on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. Tonight’s new episode will be proceeded by the second part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion.
