‘Shahs Of Sunset’: Mercedes ‘MJ’ Javid On Whether She’s Jealous Of Asa Soltan Rahmati
Could there be some trouble brewing between Shahs of Sunset co-stars Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Asa Soltan Rahmati? During an interview with Wetpaint Entertainment that was posted on Monday, MJ addressed the perception that some people have that she’s jealous of Asa.
Specifically, some people think that MJ is jealous of Asa’s friendship with Reza Farahan. On the current season, MJ is throwing Reza’s bachelor party while Asa is throwing Reza’s fiance Adam’s bachelor party. The way that MJ spoke about the split bachelor parties in a recent episode prompted some to wonder if she feels like she’s in competition with Asa. When asked if she’s jealous of Reza’s friendship with Asa, MJ said that she doesn’t get jealous over friendships.
“I’d be jealous if someone hits on my husband or my boyfriend. I would be jealous if my husband or boyfriend hits on any woman, stranger or friend. But with my friends I want us all to chill. We can fight as long as we make up. As long as we don’t have to start choosing sides. Unfortunately the circumstances of having separate bachelor parties for that one night means that Asa had to be with Adam, I had to be with Reza, and we both had to throw the parties that they wanted. I didn’t know a way, at the time, to be more diplomatic because there was no way to have the party that Reza wanted and to please Adam and Asa at the same time. I just wanted to show Reza a good time. He deserved it.”
While MJ was excited to throw Reza a bachelor party, Reza may not be so excited to throw MJ a bachelorette party if it turns out that she’ll get engaged to the man currently shown on the show as her boyfriend, Charlie. In a blog post from late March, Reza admitted that he doesn’t think Charlie is worthy of MJ. Reza even called Charlie “ugly ugly.”
“Honestly, I don’t want to speak ill of him, but he is not the caliber of guy that MJ should be dating. Plus, he’s really unattractive, and I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but damn, unless your eyesight is off, homeboy is ugly. I mean ugly ugly.”
Some of the Shahs of Sunset cast members actually just attended a wedding. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Mike Shouhed married Jessica Parido last weekend. In attendance at the wedding were Reza Farahan, Asifa Mirza, and Asa Soltan Rahmati. Not surprisingly, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, who claims that Mike tried to have sex with her during the group’s trip to Turkey last year, wasn’t invited. What may be more surprising to viewers is that Mercedes “MJ” Javid didn’t seem to make it to the wedding either. Maybe she didn’t go out of solidarity with GG?
