New Video Games For The Week Of April 5, 2015
The new video games for the week of April 5, 2015, are almost upon us. There are not a great deal of AAA titles this week. In fact, only one title fits that bill which is Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin for the last and current-gen video game consoles. A smattering of new indie titles and ports of indie titles make their way to the various consoles as well rounding out the collection for this week.
The biggest new video game of the week is not really new, but rather releasing on a new platform. Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is a “Director’s Cut” of the title according to the Dark SoulsII official site. Content from all DLC is included in this next gen port and PC re-release along with DirectX11 support for the PC version. In addition to the complete DLC package the DirectX11, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will include:
- New enemy placement, map shortcuts, and gameplay design.
- Graphics, sound and performance upgrade
- New weapons and armor for players to experiment with.
- New NPC invading player’s word.
- Max online players up from 4 to 6
The game is also seeing a release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but will only include all previously released DLC. The graphical improvements, new enemy placements and online player count will remain the same. A complete break down of what is included with what edition can be found here.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will be receiving several of the games below for free as part of the Instant Game Collection that comes as part of the PS Plus subscription. Tower of Guns, Aaru’s Awakening and MonsterBag are all free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
