Will Jill Duggar Dillard Deliver Baby Dilly On Easter Sunday?

As time drags on for the very pregnant Jill Duggar Dillard, the whole world is echoing thoughts that must be going through her mind every minute of every day. When will #BabyDilly finally make his way into the world? With more than one half-expected delivery date behind them, we wonder if Jill and Derick will welcome the newest Duggar baby into the world on Easter day.

Yesterday, an update was posted to the Duggar family blog regarding the continued waiting for Jill and Derick. Apparently, Jill is trying an age-old trick to jump start labor.

“Jill [Duggar] Dillard is 10 days past her due date, and Baby Dilly still hasn’t arrived. She and Derick Dillard enjoyed a Good Friday lunch date at a Mexican restaurant, hoping the spicy food will jump start Jill’s labor.”

Apparently it might have worked since several outlets have been reporting that Jill is currently in labor. Jill herself took to Twitter yesterday to post about her spicy Mexican treat, reporting that so far she had “only Braxton Hicks,” which are actual contractions of the uterus but do not further labor.

Derick wrote an interesting installment on the Dillard family blog regarding the impending labor and delivery of his and Jill’s first child.

“I can’t even describe right now the anticipation I am feeling, as I am about to get to meet my firstborn son for the first time face to face… When I look around, I can see new life everywhere. The trees are budding, which means summer is near. My wife, Jill, is beginning to have contractions which means that the birth of our son is near.”

As reported by People,Jill Duggar cited April 5, Easter Sunday, as her second expected due date. Jill, a midwife student, knows that first time moms often go past their original due date.

The very latest news on the arrival of Baby Dilly was made on Twitter via dad-to-be Derick.

“Still waiting to meet our little guy. Maybe we’ll have an Easter baby!”

So here we are, the day before Easter, and Jill Duggar Dillard is at least in early labor, if not progressing toward active labor. It seems her first instinct may have been correct. Baby Dilly, the newest Duggar bundle of joy, may make his presence known very soon. Send your prayers toward Jill Duggar, Derick, and Baby Dilly. It’s called labor for a reason, and Jill may have a long way yet to go.
