WWE: AJ Lee Retires, CM Punk Happy, And Fans Should Chant ‘Thank You AJ’ At Monday Night RAW

As AJ Lee retires officially from the WWE, CM Punk made a statement on the internet by starting a Twitter trend with the hashtag #ThankYouAJ. But if the world really wants to let her know how much she’s missed, the upcoming Monday Night RAW is the way to do it.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, although some predicted we would soon see AJ Lee retire, the WWE Diva herself dropped many a hint during this past year. In addition, CM Punk almost blatantly said that AJ Lee’s UFC career is a real possibility.

While no one knows for sure what happened in the back rooms of the WWE, as AJ Lee retires CM Punk only had one thing to say to the public.

This simple reaction to AJ Lee leaving the WWE caused the hashtag to trend immediately, and many fans are saying their goodbyes.

Jim Ross, Mick Foley, and Ariane Andew also sent out tweets telling AJ Lee goodbye.

Fans are also already plotting out AJ Lee’s MMA career in advance, claiming that Ronda Rousey should be involved in some manner.

Even as AJ Lee retires, Ronda Rousey has yet to make any sort of public comment, either through the media or her own Twitter account.

How can the WWE Universe do better in saying, “Thank you AJ Lee!” This coming Monday Night RAW will be at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. Fans should start an AJ Lee chant that deafens the entire area. After all, even CM Punk stated that he has been irked in the past by the CM Punk chant that still haunts the ring.

“It’s not easy seeing and hearing… it makes me feel uncomfortable and I have this anxiety about it but that’s neither here nor there. They seem to chant my name at her. I’ve had a couple people say they think it’s a respect thing to me, but it’s not me, it’s her. Chant her name.”

So, everyone get ready to say thank you AJ Lee!
