Misty Machinshok: Woman Helped Husband Rape Daughter For Shocking Reason

It’s hard to imagine that any mother could help someone rape her own daughter, but Misty Machinshok did more than just that — the woman actually orchestrated a series of rapes committed on her daughter, who was 14 at the time. She did it with the intentions of getting her daughter pregnant.

Machinshok, 33, wanted her husband, who was the girl’s stepfather, to rape her daughter because Machinshok herself is unable to have any more children. Because of that, she held her daughter’s arms down while allowing her husband to rape her. The woman even suggested what she considered were the best positions in which to impregnate the young teen.

It was Machinshok’s hope that her daughter would become pregnant, and then Machinshok would take and raise the baby herself. She and her husband even came up with a cover-story in advance, hoping that the girl would become pregnant. They planned to tell others that Machinshok’s daughter became pregnant after sleeping with an unknown boy at a party.

The girl was raped repeatedly in 2013, after her mother met Gary Machinshok, 29, on a website called onlinebootycall.com. In addition to raping his wife’s 15-year-old daughter, Gary Machinshok also admitted to sexually assaulting the younger of his wife’s two daughters, who was 11-years-old at the time.

Gary Machinshok, 29, pleaded no contest to the charges in August, admitting that he cut a deal with the prosecutors in exchange for testifying against his wife, which he did in March. According to his testimony, the girl was raped “every few days,” with the exception of a time when the victim was on birth control.

Gary also further testified that wife Misty would hold her daughter’s hand during the first series of rapes, encouraging her to relax and offering instructions when the young girl complained of pain.

The crimes against Misty Machinshok’s daughter were reported when one of her daughter’s friends had the courage to report the abuse to a teacher, who, of course, immediately contacted police.

Prosecutor Nancy Violi called the crime “the most heinous” she had dealt with in 14 years on the job, the Huffington Post reports.

Misty Machinshok of Pennsylvania pleaded guilty in January to charges of rape, assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and conspiracy. On Thursday, Machinshok was sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison for her crimes.

Misty’s father, Bill Englert, stuck up for his daughter, minimizing the traumatic crimes committed against his own granddaughters, telling reporters that prosecutors “over-emphasized” the idea that Misty organized the rape of her daughter by Gary Machinshok in order to impregnate her. Englert said that condoms were used during the rapes to prevent pregnancy.

Even if that were true, it doesn’t make the fact that his daughter’s husband raped his own granddaughter, and that his daughter was complicit in the repeated crime, acceptable.

Violi said both victims are in foster care — certainly it seems like leaving them with their own family would put them at risk with a grandfather who dismisses the rapes because, after all, his son-in-law used condoms.

Gary Machinshok has not yet been sentenced. Part of his plea deal demanded that his sentencing come after that of his wife. In addition to that condition, Machinshok’s deal with the prosecution prevents a second set of charges — that of sexual assault against his younger stepdaughter — from being filed.
