Robert Pattinson Engaged To FKA Twigs: Rapper T-Pain Confirms ‘Twilight’ Star Set To Wed

On April 1, 2015, rapper T-Pain let the cat out of the bag and confirmed that Twilight star Robert Pattinson is engaged to his girlfriend of a little over six months, British pop star FKA Twigs.

In an interview with Vulture, T-Pain was asked if FKA Twigs was going to appear on his new album.

“Well, the first time we even met each other, we met in the studio. Her music’s changed a lot since then. But she’s on tour so much, and anytime I call her, she’s in a different place. And she’s engaged now, so that’s about to be a whole other thing.”

The reporter was apparently in shock with the revelation and asked him to clarify.

“Yeah, to ol’ Patty [Robert Pattinson],” T-Pain said. “I don’t know if she wanted anybody to know that.”

Later that day, T-Pain claimed he pranked everyone — including Vulture — for April Fools’ Day, but People magazine has confirmed the engagement.

Prior to stepping out with Twigs, 27, Pattinson, 28, famously dated his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart for years. The couple even weathered the storm of a public cheating scandal when she was caught getting cozy with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.

Two years after the scandal, and after he and Stewart broken up for good, he opened up to Esquire UK about dealing with a scandal in the public eye.

“S**t happens, you know?” Pattinson said with a laugh. “It’s just young people… it’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s**t?”

Stewart may not be feeling the same sentiment. Although it is rumored that she is in a relationship with Alicia Cargile, the news of her ex’s engagement was reportedly a surprise. According to sources who spoke to Hollywood Life, Robert made no effort to contact his ex before the news of the engagement broke.

“Kristen was not told — he didn’t reach out to her and tell her. That ship has sailed. He doesn’t talk to her — they have two completely different lives. She is not a part of his day at all. FKA is his life now.”

The source went on to confirm that even though she may have moved on as well, Stewart was still heartbroken over the news.

“When Kristen first heard that Rob and FKA Twigs were engaged, she felt devastated. She didn’t want to believe it’s true and was seriously hoping that it was just some sort of April Fool’s joke.”
