Tyra Banks is a Harvard Grad: Supermodel Graduates from Harvard Business School

Retired supermodel Tyra Banks officially has brains to match her beauty, as the America’s Next Top Model creator has graduated from Harvard Business School, having completed its year-long Executive Education program.

Tyra, who first announced she enrolled in the Owner/President Management Program (OPM) in March 2011, posted a photo of herself at the event on February 17.

“On stage at my Harvard Business School graduation! Lil blurry but SUCH an exciting moment 4 me & wanted 2 share w/u!,” Banks Tweeted.

According to the IBTimes, there are no “formal educational requirements” for Harvard’s OPM program, but it instead is geared to successful entrepreneurs.

Per the program description, “candidates must be actively involved in running the business and hold a significant equity stake in their firms.” OTRC adds that the program costs around $33,000 per week.

Prior to her graduation, Banks was the first African American woman to appear on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In addition to creating America’s Next Top Model, she has also appeared in a handful of films, and hosted her own talk show from 2005-2010.

Besides Tyra Banks, other famous people who have attended Harvard University include actress Natalie Portman and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
