Jason Dufner And Hottie Wife Amanda Divorce, Golfer Loses $2.5 Million In Settlement

After three years of marriage, social media darling Amanda Dufner and pro golfer Jason Dufner called it quits.

According to court documents, the couple filed their divorce last March 16, but they had already been separated since February 17. The Dufner divorce is still pending approval but is expected to be finalized by April this year.

The two did not make any public comments about the issue and many are speculating about what caused the split. No clear reasons were revealed, but their settlement indicated that “there had been an irretrievable breakdown of marriage” and “a complete incompatibility of temperament that the parties can no longer live together.”

It’s a sad ending to a fairytale avidly followed by the couple’s social media followers, but Amanda will be back on the market as a sizzling hot millionaire. The settlement’s terms guaranteed that she will be coming out of the divorce with $2.5 million. Jason, on the other hand, will be able to retain ownership of their two homes which are both located in Auburn, Alabama.

The Dufners have been getting a lot of attention since March of 2013 when Jason became famous for his “Dufnering” meme. Five months later, during the PGA Championship, Jason was again caught on camera patting his wife’s butt. Pictures, GIF animations, and videos of the couple’s intimate moment circulated all over the internet, but the golfer was too excited about his win to address the numerous comments. Since then, Amanda gained thousands of followers on her Instagram account, which she deactivated this week.

The couple’s unfortunate love story started when Amanda was still a college student. When they were introduced to each other, Amanda was still a student at the University of Alabama. On the other hand, Jason was already a graduate of Auburn University. They were introduced by a mutual friend and the two immediately clicked. They had a memorable first date, but because of Jason’s hectic golf schedule, they had to stop seeing each other. However, the two met again by chance on New Year’s Eve in New Orleans and eventually got engaged in 2011. They tied the knot in 2012.

Over the years, Jason has been a successful golfer, bagging three wins on the PGA tour and has earned more than $7 million throughout his professional golfing career.
