Sony’s offerings for PS Plus subscribers are filled with a great deal of variety across all three platforms according to the PlayStation Blog. Puzzle adventure game Never Alone and random gun filled dungeon crawler Tower of Guns is on deck for owners of the PlayStation 4. The critical darling of this batch is Never Alone, developed by Upper One Games in which the player controls a Iñupiq girl named Nuna and her arctic fox. The story takes cues from indigenous folklore from Alaska and restoring balance in the “eternal blizzard.”

PlayStation 3 owners will be receiving Arkane Studio’s foray into first person stealth, Dishonored. The much lauded game placed gamers in the shoes of Corvo Attano, the bodyguard for the Empress of Isles who is slain in front of him in the game’s opening scenes. After being framed for this act of treason, the gamer creeps among the shadows of Dunwall to clear his name and rescue the Empress’ daughter. The other offering for the month of April is Aaru’s Awakening. The 2D action puzzle-platformer by Lumenox Games features hand-drawn environments and animation with a matching soundtrack. The game originally released on PC and is making its console debut this month.

Finally, PS Vita owners will be receiving Killzone Mercenary and MonsterBag for their Instant Game Collections. Killzone Mercenary is the more standard fare for the platform as gamers view the Helghast war from the eyes of mercenaries hired to do work on behalf of Vetka. MonsterBag is a puzzle platformer about a little blue monster called V and its journey to get back to its friend Nia. The hooks is that you have to navigate through areas filled with people who will smash V if they see him so discretion is the key here.

Games-With-Gold-April 2015The Xbox Live Games with Gold for April 2015 is upping their game offerings from 3 to 6 across the two active platforms according to Major Nelson’s Blog. The Xbox One gold subscriber will be receiving two games while the Xbox 360 will be receiving 4 titles.

Xbox One Games With Gold subscribers will be receiving Pool Nation FX along with Child of Light. Child of Light is a poetic game from the minds behind Far Cry (which in and of itself is sure to make you scratch your head) where the player is in control of Aurora. She has been stolen away from her home and in her quest to return home must bring back the sun, moon and stars held captive by the Queen of the Night.

The Xbox 360 is receiving 4 games this month as part of the Games With Gold for April. Terraria is a Minecraft inspired game with a 2D game world rather than 3D. Players have to mine and build their clothes and houses while conquering the depths of the earth. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is the largest game of the batch and arguably one of the strongest entries into the AC universe with pirates, naval combat and more. Gears of War: Judgment and the co-op focused Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel rounds out the collection for the month.
