Andi Dorfman’s Ex-Fiance Josh Murray Open To Being ‘Bachelor’ Star After Chris Soules

Will the next Bachelor star following Chris Soules be Andi Dorfman’s ex-fiance, Josh Murray? During an interview with E! News while at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, Josh said that he’s open to the opportunity. What he definitely doesn’t want to do again is compete against a group of men for one woman.

“If I had the chance to be the ‘Bachelor’ then I would think about it. But there’s no other way I’d go on [the ‘Bachelorette’]. It was a great experience, but I did that already and I’m kind of moving on from that specific part of my life.”

Josh added that he’s very much single right now.

“There’s no romance in my life… I do want to settle down and have kids, but the right woman has to come along. I haven’t even thought about that yet. If something happens something happens. But I haven’t been looking.”

So does he miss his former fiance Andi? Not really.

“No. We’re friends and everything like that. But at the end of the day, when you’re very different from somebody else it just doesn’t work out.”

After getting engaged on The Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray stayed together for about eight months before calling it quits. Ironically, it was during a trip to Los Angeles in early January, for the live premiere of Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor, that the couple realized that they weren’t meant to be. They announced their split a few days after walking the red carpet as a couple.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Andi later told host Chris Harrison that seeing how happy other couples were opened up their eyes.

“Having people ask about wedding dates and then seeing the other happy couples and people planning weddings, we had to ask ourselves, ‘Why aren’t we planning a wedding? Let’s just be honest – why is it that we don’t have a date?’… That trip was very eye-opening.”

While Josh said on Sunday that he and Andi are friends, during Andi’s tell-all interview, she admitted that they’re currently not speaking because of too much negativity.

“There’s a lot of emotion there so it’s hard to keep a positive, healthy relationship going on now and I think both of us get upset about each other’s actions and we’re just… it’s not a healthy place right now.”

Perhaps either Josh Murray or Andi Dorfman will appear on TV again, this time for Bachelor in Paradise? Last week, the Inquisitr reported that casting is currently underway for the spin-off. Early Monday morning, Andi posted a photo of herself with one of the franchise’s producers, Elan Gale.

Of course, the two could just be hanging out as friends. Andi now lives in New York City, and The Bachelorette crew may still be filming there. Last Thursday, Us Weekly reported that the show taped a rap battle in the Big Apple.
