At least 10 people killed in Alabama shooting massacre

At least 10 people are believed to have been killed in a shooting massacre in Geneva and Samson, Alabama.

Among the dead are believed to be family members of the shooter, along with the child and wife of a deputy sheriff. The shooter is believed to be among those killed.

Reports from the scene said the man fired on a local Wal-mart, a neighboring Piggly Wiggly grocery store, and possibly passing motorists. Local officials are also believed to have called in the FBI to assist local police given the scale of the shooting spree.

Geneva and Samson are small towns near the Florida border.
