Ronda Rousey Vs. Stephanie McMahon At ‘WrestleMania 31’: The Rock Helped By UFC Fighter

Ronda Rousey just stepped into the ring with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in order to help out The Rock. Dwayne Johnson had gotten into an argument with Stephanie, and as part of the disagreement, he made a joke about Vince McMahon’s Johnson being responsible for her even being there. Stephanie slapped The Rock, leaving him wondering what to do.

At the behest of the crowd, The Rock turns to Rousey for help, who just happens to be sitting ringside. After all, the WWE doesn’t want to be seen as promoting domestic violence, and Dwayne Johnson wouldn’t punch a woman in the face.

Ronda Rousey The Rock

Regardless, no one could believe it as Ronda Rousey actually followed The Rock up into the ring. Stephanie McMahon responded by saying that she and Rousey were personal friends, and as part of the Four Horsemen, they would never fight each other. The situation quickly dissolved, with The Rock making a joke about the MMA fighter reaching into Stephanie’s throat to rip out her Fallopian tubes in order to use them as jumping ropes. Dwayne Johnson even mimicked using these jump ropes while laughing.

In response to The Rock’s jokes at Stephanie McMahon’s expense, Triple H could not take it anymore, and both The Rock and Triple H launched into a flurry of punches. This left only Ronda Rousey and Stephanie standing together in the ring.

You would assume no action between the two women would take place, but you would be wrong. Stephanie tried to take a swing at Ronda, but Rousey immediately used a signature move and locked Stephanie into a standing one-handed armbar. The shock was almost palpable with the crowds at WrestleMania 31, and it goes without saying that this was awesome.

Rousey eventually let Stephanie out of the armbar lock, but it was blatantly obvious who would be the winner if these two women ever got into a real fight. All The Authority could do was spit out some more verbal threats while Rousey sauntered off back to her seat.

This fight may signify the possibility of Ronda Rousey’s WWE career actually happening. This idea has been rumored for quite a while, but until tonight there has not been any solid evidence the undefeated women’s MMA fighter might ditch the UFC in favor of the WWE. While it’s possible this short fight was just a promo intended to provide a big pop, perhaps it really does signify the future of the WWE Divas.

Do you think Ronda Rousey should join the WWE?
