Van Halen Announces Concert Dates, Television Appearances

The 2015 summer concert tour by Van Halen will start on July 5 in Auburn, Washington, the Columbian reported. Van Halen will play at the White River Amphitheater, with the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band as a special guest, and will also be performing on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

It was also announced that original vocalist David Lee Roth will be performing with Van Halen on this tour.

“Also being released beginning March 31 are remastered versions of ‘Van Halen’ and ‘1984,’ with remastered versions of ‘Diver Down,’ ‘Women and Children First,’ ‘Van Halen II,’ and ‘Fair Warning’ due out later this spring. Each album has been cut straight from the quarter-inch tapes for CD, 180-gram vinyl and for the digital version by mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who remastered the original albums for Bernie Grundman Studios, Hollywood, Calif. These albums are being released beginning Tuesday with preorders available now through Amazon and iTunes,” the Columbian quoted from the Van Halen announcement about the summer 2015 concert dates.

“The band Van Halen recently announced that it will be touring the U.S. during the summer and fall, kicking off with a number of television appearances. The band plans to perform on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ for two nights on March 30 and 31,” the Christian Times reported. “This will be the first time the rock group will perform on television since lead singer David Lee Roth split from the band and later rejoined it in 2007. The group will perform on Hollywood Boulevard on March 30, and this will air over two nights on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.'”

Van Halen will also be releasing a new live album, titled Tokyo Dome Live in Concert, that will feature 23 songs the band played live in Japan during 2013. The band will tour many more cities in the United States this summer as well as making other television appearances.

“After the band performs on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ the members are due to head over to ‘Ellen’ where they will perform on April 2. Their tour, which is scheduled to start through the summer and run through the fall, will kick off on July 5 when they play in the White River Amphitheater in Seattle, Washington. This will be followed by a tour of 39 cities in the United States, culminating with a performance on Oct. 2 when they take over the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California,” the Christian Times reported.

The Van Halen concert dates and television appearances, featuring David Lee Roth, were reported also by the Inquisitr last week.

“Fans of the classic rock band Van Halen will be happy to learn that Van Halen will be making their first live television appearances since 2006, when David Lee Roth rejoined the band, according to Rolling Stone,” the Inquisitr reported.
