Is Christina Milian Afraid Of A Beef With Nicki Minaj?
Nicki Minaj appeared to be ready to start something over three simple words – “pretty on fleek.” So who’s Minaj going up against and why? None other than fellow Young Money Entertainment artist, Christina Milian, and it’s all about whose phrase it is.
Minaj took the fight online to let the “Dip It Low” singer that “pretty on fleek” is all hers after Milian started selling tee shirts with the phrase on it.
According to Complex, Minaj said, “I saw Christina sellin tshirts that say Pretty on Fleek. I was waitin on my percentage at the door! *tilts head*”
Minaj used the enigmatic phrase in her Beyonce collaboration, “Feeling Myself” where she raps, “Kitty on fleek, pretty on fleek/Pretty gang…”
Minaj is claiming that she used the phrase first, but Milian was quick to respond to Minaj saying, “Hey Boo. Been saying #OnFleek everything for a while now…But I’m not afraid to share. Most biz these days on shirts and etc is based off new Pop Culture quotes. That’s why its line is called We Are Pop Culture. More of an homage. I see it pretty often. But if you feel any kind of way I’m not a greedy Biatch. The girl that said it in the first place must be on cloud 9 right now.”
Milian was quick to back down when it appeared that Minaj was ready to engage. Is Milian afraid of a beef with Minaj? Or maybe it’s the excellent point that Milian made — that neither one of them can really take credit for the phrase.

“The girl that said it in the first place” refers to Peaches Monroe who posted a Vine video claiming her “eyebrows on fleek” among other things. The short video went viral, making the phrase widely popular. According to BET, despite Minaj’s harsh words, the two Young Money stars have “patched things up” and even took to Twitter to share their love.
