What Happened To Jennifer Houle? Minnesota Coed Missing Since Friday

Authorities in Minneapolis are looking for Jennifer Houle. The 22-year-old coed was reportedly last seen early Friday morning after she had been at a bar in Dinkytown. There are already disturbing elements in this case that have police concerned for her wellbeing. MPR News reports that the missing woman’s purse was found under four blocks away from the Blarney Bar, but she was nowhere in sight. To make things more confusing, the window of time in her disappearance appears to be very small.

The area where Jennifer’s purse was found was around Fourth Street, under four blocks away from where she was last seen, according to the Pioneer Press. A Google Maps view of this location shows that it is a residential area flush with large houses and apartment complexes. There are also apparent boarding houses and what appear to be sorority and fraternity houses in that area. The area appears to be a lower income to middle class neighborhood with a mixture of students and non-students inhabiting it.

The window of time in her disappearance is also pretty slim. She was last seen sometime between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. However, her purse was found at around 3:00 a.m. That means only an hour hasn’t been accounted for, though that hour of time was long enough for Jennifer to disappear — seemingly without a trace. Officer John Elder with the Minneapolis Police Department acknowledged that this disappearance is suspicious when he spoke to media sources recently.

“There were places she should have been yesterday, but she didn’t show up. This is not consistent with her normal behaviors.”

CBS News reports that Houle is a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority, which is located not far from where her purse was found. It’s been made apparent that Houle was on foot in the area, but vanished somewhere between the bar and the sorority house.

Jennifer Houle is white, standing at 5’5? and approximately 140 lbs., with long blonde hair. She was reportedly last seen wearing a green shirt and black leggings. She was also wearing boots and a black leather jacket.

Jennifer Houle is described as a devoted student at the University of Minnesota where she is double majoring in Human resources and Industrial Relations and Accounting.
