Duggar Family Update: Jill Dillard Does Something Compassionate While Waiting For Baby Dilly To Arrive
Jill Dillard’s due date has come and gone, leaving many fans to speculate when the newest Duggar baby will make an entrance. However, Jill says she is in no rush and that baby Dilly will make his arrival on his own time. While many may expect the overdue Jill to be waiting anxiously at home for her new bundle of joy to arrive, Jill has decided to do something else with her time.
In true Duggar fashion, the pregnant Jill spent her morning volunteering at the local “Compassion Center” in Springdale, Arkansas. Jill posted an image of her volunteer work to her official Instagram account this morning. In the photo, we see Jill, looking as good as ever, smiling for the camera alongside her husband Derick. The pair are surrounded by racks of clothing and posing with two other volunteers.
The photo’s caption read, “Volunteering at the Compassion Center this morning in Springdale, AR.” with a link to the volunteer website. The Compassion Center is associated with Cross Church, where Jill and Derick held their wedding. The website for the Compassion Center notes that the center serves as a “thrift store, a life skills and job resource center, and a place where we hope to meet people’s physical and spiritual needs in any way we can.”
“The goal of this ministry is to be a thrift store, a life skills and job resource center, and a place where we hope to meet people’s physical and spiritual needs in any way we can. Compassion Center ministries are divided into two major categories: a re-sale thrift store that will focus on clothing, furniture, toys, jewelry, and sports and household items, and a ministry center that will provide financial assistance for several by helping with rent, utility bills, fuel, and food assistance. We see this as an entry point into our ministry through support groups, discipleship, and Bible studies offered throughout the week at all our campuses.”
From the photo, it appears that Jill was working in the re-sale thrift store area during her volunteering stint. With baby Dilly due any day now, it seems that Jill prefers to keep her days busy and full. In fact, Jill hasn’t seemed to let pregnancy cramp her style. Many criticized her for taking a vacation with the rest of the Duggar family so close to her due date. However, with a background in midwifery, it is safe to say that Jill most likely covered all of her bases.
