WWE News: Undertaker Vs. Sting Angle To Take Place On Post-‘WrestleMania’ ‘RAW’?

When it became apparent that Sting would eventually wrestle for WWE this past summer, the one match that WWE fans were calling for was The Undertaker vs. Sting. Unfortunately, WWE decided to not have that match take place at this year’s WrestleMania, but, rumor has it that — depending on how they look on Sunday — WWE could have the two of them go face-to-face on the following night’s RAW to setup a match between the two at next year’s WrestleMania in Dallas.

Nobody knew if The Undertaker would be returning to wrestle this year, as he didn’t look all that good in last year’s match with Brock Lesnar, but people within WWE believe that is due to the fact that he suffered a concussion early in the match. There’s no doubt that the concussion affected his performance last year, and just like every year — due to age and injuries — nobody knows exactly what to expect from The Undertaker when he faces Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania.

Speaking of not knowing what to expect, Sting is having his first ever WWE match on Sunday against Triple H. Sting is 56-years-old, and he hasn’t wrestled since January of last year. Apparently, Sting and Triple H have been rehearsing their match at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, so by the time the match gets in the ring in Santa Clara, they’ll have worked the match several times already.

When Sting was one of the legends on the WWE 2K15 panel at this past August’s SummerSlam, he seemed a bit annoyed when everyone would ask him who his ideal opponent would be in WWE because his answer was obvious — The Undertaker. Sting also mentioned Triple H as a dream opponent, but he didn’t seem as excited about facing Triple H as he did when he talked about possibly facing The Undertaker.

There are some people who are expecting Sting’s match against Triple H to be his one-and-only WWE match, but if both Sting and The Undertaker look good on Sunday, WWE will look to make the longtime dream match a reality at next year’s WrestleMania.

Even thought it’s way too early to tell, most people are predicting that The Undertaker will headline next year’s WWE Hall of Fame, and that he’ll have the final match of his career at WrestleMania the following night. If WWE decides to book Sting vs. The Undertaker for next year’s WrestleMania, it could very well be a double retirement match, with both Sting and The Undertaker deciding to hang up the boots immediately following the match.
