Charlotte McKinney Rebounds: ‘DWTS’ Elimination Misses McKinney, But Will She Last?

Charlotte McKinney rebounds on Dancing With The Stars, her week two cha cha making up for her less than stellar week one dance. However, will the model end up staying on the show longer than just two or three weeks?

According to Fox News, McKinney and her dance pro partner Keo Motsepe danced to Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” on Monday night’s “My Jam Monday,” and their week two dance was much better than what they did on week one. And while fans of the show were certain that McKinney would be the first to be sent home, she wasn’t. Redfoo from LMFAO was actually the first star eliminated on Season 20.

Charlotte McKinney’s rebound may not be enough to keep her on the show for several weeks, but the package that aired before she danced could help even the playing field a little bit. You see, after week one, viewers took to social media to rip McKinney. Although she didn’t have the absolute lowest scores of the night (week one), she didn’t do great either — and no one really knew who she was aside from a model from a Super Bowl commercial. Instead of getting to know this woman and giving her a shot, people started talking smack, and Charlotte found herself being bullied by internet trolls.

“People think because I’m pretty and blonde that I don’t have feelings, but I do,” Charlotte said during her emotional Dancing With The Stars pre-show interview. According to The Daily Caller, the 23-year-old broke down in tears because of the mean things that people were saying about her.

Despite being in jeopardy on Monday night, however, Charlotte was thrilled that enough people voted for her.

“I really didn’t know what to expect but I’m so glad and so grateful we’re still here,” she said after the show.

Charlotte McKinney wasn’t the only one who rebounded on Monday night. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Suzanne Somers danced much better in week two of the show, and she narrowly escaped being eliminated on Monday night as well. Most of the stars had far better performances this week, which makes some fans wonder if having an elimination after the very first live show makes sense. Perhaps Redfoo wouldn’t have been sent home had he been given another week to strut his stuff — his dance with Emma Slater on Monday night was far better than what he did on week one.

Who do you think should have gone home on Monday night? Do you think Charlotte McKinney has staying power on the show?
