‘COD: Advanced Warfare – Ascendance’ DLC Revels In Exo Zombie Fight For Burgertown
Activision dropped a trailer for the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Ascendance DLC pack on Tuesday. PlayStation, Xbox, and PC owners can now get a glimpse at the four new maps, hybrid weapon, gametype, and Exo Zombie episode ahead of its release next week to Xbox consoles.
The Ascendance map pack will be released to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 first on Tuesday, March 31 for $14.99, or as part of the $49.99 Season Pass. The DLC will then be released approximately a month later to the PS4, PS3, and PC, per the usual setup based on the timed exclusivity contract between Microsoft and Activision.

As previously covered, the four new Ascendance maps are “Site 244? located at the base of Mt. Rushmore where an alien spacecraft has crashed; “Climate” set inside a bio-dome utopia; “Perplex” taking place in a modular apartment complex; and “Chop Shop,” located in an industrial complex for manufacturing Exo Suits.
There’s more to the “Perplex” map than I originally thought, based on the new gameplay trailer released. The modular apartment complex setup allows the map to change on the fly, by drones moving building modules around the five-story tall, small to medium size map.
The latest Exo Zombies episode, Infection, also looks to ramp the action up from the first episode. The four Atlas characters portrayed by John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, and Jon Bernthal have made it out of the Atlas Corporation facility and into a nearby town where they take refuge in a Burgertown.
It’s another fight for survival with new weapons, but the zombie side has enemy types as well. The official Call of Duty Twitter feed spent part of Monday teasing the new map, enemies, and one of the new weapons by pretending to be a Burgertown employee.

The action in the new Exo Zombies mode will take place below ground as well. Players will have to head down into the serwers at some point.

Presumably, the sewers is where you’ll find the 3D gun printing machine.
