Sheriffs Arrest Man, 73: Dead Wife Found In Chicken Coup

Sheriffs arrested a 73-year-old man on suspicion of murdering his wife. Sigfredo Concepcion was taken into custody for the murder of his 64-year-old wife, Linda Concepcion.

Sheriffs charged the elder with shooting his wife to death. The sheriff’s report alleges Sigfredo shot and killed his wife and then placed her dead body in a chicken coup in the rear of their property in Phelan, California.

On Monday, San Bernardino Sun reported a criminal complaint and records from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department charge Sigfredo Concepcion with shooting his wife July 8, 2012, nearly three years ago.

Linda Concepcion was a mother and grandmother. According to the sheriff’s report, close to three years after Linda was found dead in the family’s chicken coup on Cayucos Road, in the 4200 block, her husband, Sigfredo was arrested at another home in Pinion Hills, this last Friday.

After Sigfredo Concepcion allegedly shot his wife and planted her body in the chicken coup, unbeknownst to Redlands Daily Facts reporters, they interviewed the unsuspected senior citizen when he showed up to vote at the San Bernardino Election Office, on East Rialto Avenue.

On October 9, 2012, Redlands Daily Facts reported comments made by Sigfredo Concepcion pertaining to voting in San Bernardino County.

The article reported Sigfredo Concepcion, a 71-year-old at that time, explained, “with a twinkle in his eye” he hadn’t voted for close to 15 years.

“I feel so strongly about this, I decided to vote early, in case I get hit by a car, or a meteor, and won’t be able to register my vote.”

Sigfredo’s wife had been dead for three months when this interview took place.

Excerpts from the Redlands Daily Facts article added the following.

“Concepcion, on the other hand, said he cast his vote for Romney, someone he called, ‘The lesser of two evils.’ As he was leaving the county registrar’s office, Concepcion said he felt better knowing he had done more than talk about how unhappy he was with America’s path – he registered that opinion with a vote.”

Nearly three years after placing his vote for ‘the lesser of two evil, San Bernardino Sheriffs placed Sigfredo Concepcion under arrest and currently have him detained at the West Valley Detention Center for murdering and placing his dead wife in a chicken coup. His bond is set for $1 million.

On Tuesday, San Bernardino Sheriffs will escort 73-year-old Sigfredo Concepcion to the Victorville Superior Court to face a judge on charges of murdering his wife, Linda and disposing her lifeless body in a chicken coup.
