Melissa Gorga’s Salary For ‘RHONJ’ Season Seven Will Equal Teresa’s Former Pay?

Melissa Gorga’s salary for season seven of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will reportedly be equal to that of Teresa Giudice’s for season six. According to a new report, season seven will begin filming in the upcoming months, despite Giudice’s current incarceration.

On March 23, a source revealed the following about Melissa Gorga’s salary to Radar Online.

“Melissa has been given a raise in her new contract. Her new salary now matches Teresa’s old one. Melissa has always been highly paid but now she’s getting the same amount of money that Teresa used to get.”

According to Radar‘s source, Melissa Gorga’s salary for season seven will be a whopping $750,000 — the same amount Giudice had been paid for previous seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Melissa Gorga’s salary makes her one of the highest earning housewives of the entire franchise. The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s NeNe Leakes is the only housewife currently making more than Melissa Gorga’s salary, at $1 million per season.

Prior to news of Melissa Gorga’s salary, fans had been left wondering whether or not the series would continue with or without Giudice, who is serving a 15-month term at the federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut. Because Giudice was the unofficial star of the show, many believed Bravo would wait until early 2016, after her release, to resume filming for season seven. However, Radar‘s source claims the network is ready to move forward with the show without her.

“They want the franchise to continue no matter what now.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bravo will also bring back Jacqueline Laurita for season seven, although it is unclear whether or not her paycheck will rival that of Melissa Gorga’s salary.

At the end of season six of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, a source spoke to Radar Online, claiming Laurita had delivered ratings for the series, and would definitely be returning to her previous role of full-time housewife.

“Production has made it very clear that they want Jacqueline back… And they don’t want her back just for cameos, either. Production is planning to offer Jacqueline as a contract for a full-time housewife… It was very clear with an examination of the ratings that Jacqueline’s appearance had a huge impact on the show.”

Melissa Gorga’s salary has yet to be confirmed by Bravo, as does the seventh season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
