Teresa Giudice Excluding Joe And Melissa Gorga From Prison Visits, Keeping Tabs On ‘RHONJ’

While viewers of season 6 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey saw Teresa Giudice putting to rest her feud with her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Melissa Gorga, she apparently still doesn’t consider them close enough to visit her in prison. An article published on Sunday morning revealed that Joe and Melissa have yet to see Teresa since she started her prison sentence in early January. According to a source who spoke to the NY Daily News Confidenti@l, Teresa has only been accepting visits from her husband, Joe Gorga, their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana, and her mother.

In early March, the Inquisitr reported that during her appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, Melissa pretty much admitted that she and Joe have yet to actually see Teresa since she went to prison. When Andy asked her if she has had any personal contact with Teresa since she began her prison sentence, Melissa said that she and Joe have communicated with Teresa via the mail and phone.

“I have written to her, yes, and she’s spoken to her brother on the phone.”

Melissa also said that she gets updates on how Teresa’s doing through her mother-in-law.

While Melissa Gorga is getting updates on Teresa Giudice via her mother-in-law, Teresa is apparently getting updates on what’s being said about her and the fate of The Real Housewives of New Jersey thanks to outside contacts and fans who send her news and magazine clippings. According to Confidenti@l, Teresa has her outside contacts send her information while her fans send her clippings of stories about her and the show via snail mail.

“She’s hears everything; she’s not out of touch at all. She can email all day long; she’ll email with whoever she chooses and they’ll tell her what’s going on. She’s very in touch with what’s going on out here.”

For now, Teresa hasn’t been replaced. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Andy Cohen, an executive producer of the show, recently spoke out about the rumors that the wife of former NFL player Tiki Barber, Traci Lynn Johnson, was joining the season 7 cast. Andy said that the rumors were “so false” and that no one, returning or new, has been confirmed yet.

“I haven’t seen any New Jersey casting. Here’s the thing they’re [the casting company] doing a wide net so we haven’t cast Jersey. So anything you’ve heard about casting Jersey is not true right now.”

E! News reported in mid-March that Traci Lynn Johnson is just one of the women being considered for the show in order to make it more glamorous and fun.

Andy Cohen also revealed that he’s keeping tabs on how Teresa Giudice is doing through her good friend and co-star Dina Manzo.

“You know what, I haven’t spoken to Teresa yet. Her access to the outside world is obviously limited. Certainly I’m thinking about her. I woke up thinking about her this morning actually. I’m kind of checking in through Dina to find out how she’s doing and by all accounts she’s hanging in there and doing okay. And we’ll watch what happens with that.”
