Jeremy Lin Hits Game Winner at Buzzer, Knicks at 6 in a Row [Video]

The tide keeps rolling in favor of New York Knicks superstar Jeremy Lin. The Harvard capped a 28 point game to hit the game winning three pointer at the buzzer to give the Knicks a 90-87 victory over the Toronto Raptors. This is the Knicks 6th win in a row. Lin took over as guard 5 games ago, his only 5 games played in the NBA.

Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni cracked a joke to reporters after the game,

“I’m just glad it went like this so we can calm the Linsanity down,”

For the foreseeable future there is no chance of calming this one down. Lin scored 27 points and added a career-high 11 assists in his first game since being named Eastern Conference player of the week.

Lin told reporters after the game,

“It’s not because of me, it’s because we’re coming together as a team. We started making these steps earlier but we were still losing close games and so obviously it wasn’t fun. But when you win, that solves a lot of problems. We’ve been winning and we’ve been playing together. I’m thankful that the coach and my teammates trust me with the ball at the end of the game,” he said. “I like having it at the end of the game. I’m just very thankful.”

The game was tied at 87 with only 10 seconds left when Lin got the ball at the top of the key. He held it watching the clock tick down until the final second before taking the three point shot.

D’Antoni said of his star player,

“You just watch and you’re in awe. He held it until five tenths of a second left. He was pretty confident that was going in, no rebounds, no nothing. That ball was being buried.”

Do you think the Knicks struck gold by getting Jeremy Lin off waivers?
