Mile High Airplane Company Lets Passengers Get Down And Dirty For $500

Dave McDonald and his wife have been operating a “romantic airline” in Cincinnati since 1991 and the couple claims to be the only aircraft provider that not only allows but promotes a “romantic flight” with a loved one.

Known as the “Love Amelia” the plan provides a curtained off area where passengers can get comfy, share some champaign and do as they please without judgement.

According to Dave:

“We are the only company, at least in the U.S., that does this as a business.”

Business is apparently good, even during hard times, as Dave explains:

“It puts pizza on the table and gas in the tanks when everyone’s running slow.”

According to the owner couple they have had some interesting rides during their time in operation including one couple who were setup on a blind date and a female who was given the ride for her 80th birthday.

Dave says they’ve even had people get married aboard the plane:

“We’ve done several weddings in the plane, one was kind of funny because the Justice of the peace was from Kenton county Kentucky so we had to circle Kenton County.”

Apparently the rides aren’t just for couples, they say single females also enjoy paying $500 for their own ride aboard the Love Amelia.

The airlines owners also say that a love child was conceived aboard the plane, however after 20 years in business it’s likely there was more than one.

Just make sure you know what you’re getting into, the airplanes owners say five women booked flights only to have their husbands refuse to board, ultimately ending in five divorces.

At $500 per couple the ride isn’t cheap but it’s definitely a more private way to join the mile high club and a heck of a lot more comfortable then a planes lavoratory.
