Catelynn Lowell Shares Side-By-Side Photo Of Daughters Carly And Novalee

Catelynn Lowell and her fiancé, Tyler Baltierra, became household names when they starred in the MTV reality series 16 and Pregnant in 2009. They went on to star in four seasons of the spin-off series Teen Mom, and will return for the fifth season later this month.

The long-time couple made the heart wrenching decision to give their first daughter Carly, now five years old, up for adoption when they were only 16. They realized that their home life and lack of stability would not provide the type of life they wanted for their daughter so they handed her over to her adoptive parents, Brandon and Theresa.

Since then, their love life has been chronicled on Teen Mom. Viewers have seen their highest of highs and lowest of lows. However, Catelynn and Tyler have somehow managed to defy all odds against them, and their relationship is now stronger than ever. In fact, Tyler asked Catelynn to marry him, for the second time, in November, 2014, and they welcomed their second daughter, Novalee, in January, 2015.

Lowell and Baltierra chose an open adoption for Carly, which allows them yearly visits and updates. While this set up seemed to be ideal in the beginning, their contact has become limited.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Catelynn’s and Tyler’s relationship with Brandon and Theresa is strained.

Brandon and Theresa want Carly to remain out of the public eye as much as possible, and their seems to be some conflict amongst Catelynn and Tyler, who want to share photos of their daughter on their social media sites.

“They’re not happy with Catelynn and Tyler’s behavior and refusal to follow the adoption rules,” a source told In Touch. “Obviously, Brandon and Teresa are upset. They’re getting more concerned about Carly being in the public eye as she gets older. The relationship is really strained.”

Although they have been asked to refrain for posting photos of Carly online, Catelynn posted an adorable photo of Carly, as an infant, and Novalee side-by-side. She captioned the photo by saying: “This is a crazy picture they look so much alike its nutts! Love my children soooo much you BOTH are my world!”

The fifth season of Teen Mom is set to premiere on Monday, March 23. Along with Catelynn, her co-stars Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, and Amber Portwood will all be returning to film the latest chapter of their lives.
