Gigi Hadid: ‘I’m Very Inspired’ By Mother Yolanda Foster’s Health Journey

Gigi Hadid may not be known for being the daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, as her modeling career is currently exploding, but Gigi is using her platform to help her mom. Of course, Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease back in 2012, and she has been struggling with her illness since then.

Of course, Gigi Hadid and her sister, Bella Hadid, are very supportive of their mother, and despite living across the country, Yolanda is still getting lots of support from her children. Even though Gigi isn’t flying home every weekend to be with Yolanda, Hadid is using her platform to educate people about her mother’s illness.

According to a new Bravo report, Gigi Hadid is now using her modeling platform to inform people about Lyme disease. Hadid has been a big support system for her mother, and Gigi has often spoken out about Yolanda’s health journey. Now, Gigi reveals that her mother’s battle is inspiring.

“She’s battling a tough one, but she’s helping a lot of people through her personal health journey,” Gigi Hadid revealed about her mother’s struggles, adding, “I think when she finally figures out how to help herself, she’ll be able to help a lot of other people… I’m very inspired.”

Gigi Hadid admits that she does FaceTime with her mother, something that Foster has often talked about. During a scene from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Foster talked to Bella Hadid via FaceTime, who had just moved out.

“We try to call her and FaceTime her with what’s going on and keep her feeling like she’s not too far away,” Gigi Hadid revealed about staying in touch with her sick mother, adding, “It [lifts her spirits]. I think that she kind of looks forward to it. Right now she’s going through a lot, so even a little FaceTime once in a while helps.”

It sounds like Gigi Hadid is getting just as much support from her mother. This weekend, a rumor spread that Gigi had been caught snorting cocaine, even though the video that supposedly showed this was far-fetched. According to the Inquisitr, Gigi Hadid’s sister, Bella, recently went home to visit her mother as rumors were swirling about the upcoming casting for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
