Dancing With The Stars returned on Monday, premiering its 20th season. A host of stars graced the stage—and a couple of notable ones appeared in the audience. Former Hollywood power couple Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were spotted in the audience. Though they haven’t been together since their 1998 separation (the two officially divorced in 2000), they came together in support of daughter Rumer Willis.

Rumer is one of the contestants on this season of Dancing With The Stars. Based on her sinfully hot performance of “Take Me To Church” by Hozier, it’s clear that Willis is a top DWTS contender. But to win it all, she’ll have to get past stars like Patti LaBelle (who got down to her own hit “Lady Marmalade”) and Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin.
Willis seemed pretty confident when she and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy appeared on Entertainment Tonight. ET surprised rumor with a clip of dad Bruce doing some “dirty dancing” of his own on Moonlighting in 1986. Rumer laughed and exclaimed, “Oh my God.” She admits she’s seen the clip before, but that she’d forgotten about it. When asked how she expected to fare on Dancing With The Stars, Willis spelled it out for her competitors.
“We’re going to win. I mean, that’s just a fact.”
Rumer and Valentin certainly made a splash on Monday night. They performed a flawless foxtrot, dancing across the ballroom floor with seemingly effortless grace. It’s quite obvious a lot of hard work went into those moves, and those efforts have paid off handsomely. The DWTS audience gave the duo a standing ovation.
The judges were also ready with praise. Juliane Hough said that their Dancing With The Stars performance “gave [her] chills”. Meanwhile, Len Goodman declared that it could be their season. Chmerkovskiy and Willis earned the top scores on Dancing With The Stars and are considered the dancers to beat. Rumer and Valentin have a lot of work to do if the wish to live up to their gorgeous debut performance. Hopefully, they’ll be inspired to do just that.
No doubt mom Demi Moore and dad Bruce Willis were proud to witness their daughter glowing on stage. Joining them were Bruce’s new wife Emma and Rumer’s sisters Scout and Tallulah.
Speaking of “glowing”, the internet was abuzz over the ultra-feminine look that Rumer Willis showed off on DWTS. The dress was a dusty rose vintage-inspired number, featuring hand-sewn crystals. Dancing With The Star makeup artist Zena Shteysel shared how fans can apply Rumor’s soft, feminine look themselves.

The products used by Shteysel include Stila’s Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer as well as Convertible Color blush in “Peony”. Willis’s cat-eye look was completed with Smudge Pot in “Black”.
“[Rumer Willis] has the best eyes to play up, so I created a soft smokey eye with rose colors and a shimmery pink [by Makeup Geek] on the lid, which really made her green eyes pop.”
