Matt Bomer Signs Up For ‘American Horror Story’ Season 5

Matt Bomer is the new star of American Horror Story. Bomer has signed on to star with Lady Gaga for the upcoming fifth season.

American Horror Story’s creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk announced the news in Los Angeles at the PalyFest panel.

According to Deadline, Ryan Murphy revealed that Bomer will play opposite Lady Gaga, but other than that the details on his character are strictly under wraps. This isn’t the first time Matt Bomer has worked with Ryan Murphy.

In addition to his new role on American Horror Story: Hotel, Bomer has guest starred on American Horror Show: Freak Show. The star also guest starred as Blaine’s brother on Glee and the short lived NBC show The New Normal, both of which Murphy created with Brad Falchuk. Bomer also worked with Murphy on his HBO film The Normal Heart, which he directed. The White Collar star went on to win a Golden Globe for his performance in Murphy’s HBO directorial.

Matt opened up about joining Ryan Murphy back when he guest starred on the Freak Show season. “I love collaborating with Ryan Murphy.” He pointed out that arriving to New Orleans, “was amazing – when you showed up on set it was like arriving at this community and it felt like this world where there was no boundaries. I had the time of my life and i told Ryan that, He said, ‘Great, do you want to come work next season? And I said, ‘Hell, yes.'”

Bomer isn’t the only one that will join American Horror Story with Lady Gaga. Cheyenne Jackson, who had an arc on Glee at one point, will also join American Horror Story: Hotel. As of right now no one knows what Jackson’s role is either, or what the season might entail, but if going by Murphy’s track record with AHS we can expect it to be good.
