Natalia Kills And Willy Moon Fired From ‘X Factor’! Most Hated Couple In New Zealand?

Natalia Kills went on a bizarre rant against an X Factor New Zealand hopeful on Sunday, accusing the man of ripping off her husband. When it was her turn to address a contestant named Joe Irvine, she said, “I’m just going to state the obvious…We have a doppelgänger in our midst.”

Although some consider imitation to be the sincerest form of flattery, Natalia Kills was anything but amused by Irvine seemingly resembling her husband, Willy Moon.

“As an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted at how much you’ve copied my husband.”

Natalia said that “from the hair to the suit,” Joe had blatantly ripped off Willy. She referred to his look as “cheesy,” “disgusting,” and called the embarrassed X Factor New Zealand contestant “a laughing-stock.” Making the matter even more awkward was the fact that her husband was sitting next to her, and he seemed to echo her opinion, calling the man “cheap and absurd.” The audience strongly disagreed with the nasty remarks by Kills and Moon, and a shower of boos rained down on the judges for their harsh words for Joe Irvine.

“You make me sick. It’s absolutely disgusting. You have no identity. I can’t stand it. I’m ashamed to be here.”

Natalia Kills may have been ashamed of Joe Irvine’s look, but now a growing number of people are demanding she be ashamed of her behavior. However, Kills has thus far not backed down. She reportedly took to social media to thank her fans for supporting her through the backlash.

“I love you guys, thanks for your support & understanding my passionate opinions!”

Meanwhile, other X Factor New Zealand judges are not letting Natalia off the hook for her words. Stan Walker responded to Natalia Kills by calling her a “bully” who needs to “humble” herself. Fellow X Factor judge Melanie Blatt was especially blunt in her criticism of Natalia Kills, saying that she should “keep cool” and “stay professional.”

The closest Blatt came to defending the controversial judge was by saying “two wrongs don’t make a right.”

This is no doubt in response to the negative comments that have been hurled at Natalia Kills over her treatment of Joe Irvine. A Facebook account was created asking that she be fired; it has garnered over 56,000 likes in a matter of hours. An angry viewer put together a Change.org petition with a similar aim. The petition as of now stands just shy of 67,000 signatures.

As others fume over Natalia Kills’s behavior, Irvine at least seems to have taken the entire matter in stride.

What do you think of what Natalia Kills said? Did she have a point or did the X-Factor New Zealand judge go too far?

UPDATE 12:49 a.m. EDT: According to recent reports, both Natalia Kills and her husband Willy Moon have been fired from X Factor New Zealand. MediaWorks chief executive Mark Weldon commented that the controversial duo were “no longer suitable for the role” of judging on the popular series.

“Last night on X Factor both Kills and Moon made comments that were completely unacceptable. While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges.”

Two new judges are expected to join the series next week.
