Kanye West Says President Obama Lied To Jimmy Kimmel [Video]

Did President Obama really dis Kanye West on Jimmy Kimmel live? Kanye says he did.

According to the Los Angeles Times, West told some Oxford University Students recently that he was on close terms with the president, and that he could “call Obama out of the blue.” He also said that Obama “calls the home phone.”

However, Obama told Jimmy Kimmel during an interview on his show last week that he didn’t have West’s phone number.

The Inquisitr reported that the president was quite entertaining during his visit to the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and even took part in one of Kimmel’s popular “Mean Tweets” segments devoted entirely to him. He later discussed a variety of topics, both humorous and serious. Kanye was one of them.

When asked about West’s claims about their friendship, Obama – who called Kanye a “jackass” after his 2009 MTV Video Music Awards antics during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech — denied ever calling him at home. The president claimed he had only met Kanye twice.

“Look, I love his music,” the president said. “He’s incredibly creative. I don’t think I’ve got his home number. I do love his music, though. He’s terrific.”

Kanye West, however, begs to differ. TMZ caught West at the airport and asked him about the president’s response to Kimmel’s question, and Kanye insists that the president does have his home number.

“I love Obama. He called our house before. He knows that,” West said.

To be fair, Obama didn’t say he had never called Kanye, he just said he didn’t have his home number.

What do you think? Is the president lying or is Kanye West just exaggerating?
