The ‘Sims 4: Get To Work’ Expansion — March 31 Early Release [Trailers]

The Sims 4 fans have been waiting in eager anticipation for the first full expansion pack to supplement the base game. The Sims 4 has come under fire by many players who believe the base game is just too basic. The exclusion of Sims staples such as toddlers, swimming pools, and ghosts left some feeling deflated and disappointed. Since the Sims 4 was launched, ghosts and pools have been added to the game, but “Get to Work” is the first full expansion pack to come to the Sims 4.

Electronic Arts, the company behind the Sims 4, has expected a release date sometime in April of this year. However, according to the Otaku’s Study, an update from Electronic Arts this weekend announced an early release on March 31, only two weeks away. The Sims fans are accustomed to changes in release dates while awaiting an exciting expansion, but this is one of the few times a Sims game has been released early.

The Get To Work expansion will feature new careers that are completely playable. Not only can we follow Sims to work, but we can control their actions like never before. Take a look at the trailer for the new medical career. This is a far sight better than following your Sims to the hospital and staring at the outside of the building while they work, as in the Sims 3.

Fans of the Sims 2: Open For Business will appreciate the addition of retail stores, which will be completely playable and will include bakeries, photography studios, boutiques, and retail outlets. The Sims 4 businesses will be able to sell items from the build catalog, those collected around town, and crafted products.

The science career is perhaps the most intriguing. Sims 4 scientists can put together chemicals and try potions on themselves, or on unsuspecting Sims around them, resulting in physical or emotional chaos.

Last but not least, the life of a Sims 4 detective is exciting and has the added attraction of possible danger. Similar to the Sims 3: Ambitions detective, this incarnation is much more detailed. Sims can enter the police station and interact with others, walk through all the steps of investigating and solving crimes, and book criminals.

Are you looking forward to beginning a new job in the Sims 4: Get To Work? This expansion is packed with action, sure to please those originally turned off by the Sims 4 base game. Which career will you try first?
