Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Aunt Blames Pat Houston For Near Drowning

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been reportedly in a medically induced coma for the past six weeks. While the implications of her continued unconsciousness for her health have been widely debated, Bobbi Kristina remains unable to speak for herself. That’s left numerous questions about what led to her near drowning, and at least one family member thinks they have the answers.

Leola Brown, Bobbi Kristina’s aunt on her father’s side, laid the blame for Bobbi Kristina’s current condition on Nick Gordon, but she had other ideas about who is to blame for Bobbi Kristina’s apparent downward spiral in the months and years before she was found unresponsive in her Atlanta townhouse. According to TMZ, Leola Brown blames Pat Houston. Pat Houston was Whitney Houston’s friend, sister-in-law, and manager in life, and is now the executor of the Whitney Houston estate. In that capacity, according to Leola Brown, Pat Houston forced Bobbi Kristina Brown to do a reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own, in the wake of Whitney Houston’s death.

The Houstons’s: On Our Own aired in 2012 and often featured then 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina consuming alcohol. In interviews, Pat Houston defended her decision to have the family star in a reality series, especially the emotionally devastated Bobbi Kristina Brown.

“Cameras have been following since she was born. It’s not exploitation of any kind. I can’t see [Bobbi-Kristina] fall by the wayside. No way, no how. Not gonna happen.”

Leola Brown isn’t the only member of the Brown family speaking out. Bobbi Kristina’s cousin, Jerod Brown, has made a series of posts to his Facebook account that cast suspicion on Pat Houston’s treatment of Bobbi Kristina in recent years.

“Auntie Whitney was murdered not drowned. That’s a fact. Now the whole bathroom plot shows up again w/ Bobbi Kristina’s situation. C’mon are you people that bold to try to perform this act again on my family. And the public believes whatever these people put in their faces, i mean it is convincing if you’re not on the inside. However, I will let it be known Kristina has always had suspicion about Pat Houston. Soon evidence will be handed over to assist this investigation”

“I never said Pat Houston was a murderer. I said Krissi has had suspicion of her (when it came to her money & her mom). The fact still remains, Auntie Whitney’s case needs to be reopen ?#?PrayForBK?“

At least one person doesn’t seem to think Pat Houston mistreated Bobbi Kristina – Bobby Brown. Bobby Brown’s lawyers released the following statement to US Weekly in response to Jerod Brown’s comments.

“Jerod Brown aka Jerod Carter aka YF Kennedy, continues to makes statements and appear on television, however, he has not had any communication with Bobby Brown or the Houston family. He must be disregarded. Please do not attend any ‘meet and greet’ organized by Jerod Brown as he is unable to provide access to Bobbi Kristina or information on her condition. This is a criminal investigation and we do not need this side show.”

Bobby Brown has yet to comment on Leola’s statements.
