Bristol Palin Engaged: Sarah Palin’s Daughter Set To Wed Medal Of Honor Recipient
Bristol Palin is engaged. The daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is set to marry her boyfriend, Dakota Meyer. According to Lex 18, the couple announced their exciting news on their respective social media accounts on Friday. Meyer reportedly popped the question while in Las Vegas with Palin.
“I’m definitely the luckiest guy [in the world] to be able to spend the rest of my life with Bristol Palin,” Meyer wrote on Instagram on Friday.
“Cannot wait to marry this man.. really the luckiest girl in the world!!” Palin wrote on Facebook along with the photo below.
While not much is known about Palin’s beau, the two seem very happy, and very much in love.
“Meyer served in the United States Marine Corps and received the Medal of Honor for actions during the Battle of GanjGal.”
Bristol Palin has managed to live a private life following her time on Dancing with the Stars, but she hasn’t hesitated to speak her mind when it matters. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Bristol made headlines in January when she spoke out about her mom’s prediction that the Ukraine would be invaded by Russia. She also took the time to blast Obama while she was at it.
“Seriously, my mom is the best. It’s that time of year when everyone is making their lists of favorite books, most popular blog posts, and important people. Well, I am happy to share that my mom Sarah Palin made Time magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People’ list AND the Smithsonian Institution’s ‘100 Most Significant Americans Of All Time’ list! And she also predicted, years ago, that Putin would invade Ukraine. In March, she was proved right,” Bristol posted at the time.
Naturally, people weren’t too happy with Bristol’s comments, but she also has quite a few supporters out there as well. Love her or loathe her, she deserves happiness just as much as the next person, right?
