Donnie Wahlberg, Jenny McCarthy Probably Won’t Be Having Kids
Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy have been married since last August, but they’re still acting like newlyweds with their public displays of affection and refusal to be away from one another for too long. However, that doesn’t mean they’re ready to start trying for a baby, as McCarthy says she’s waiting for the day when she and her hubby can have some alone time.
“When you work so hard and your kids are out of the diaper phase, out of the high chair and you get rid of all that stuff…to start over again? No way!” she dished. “I want to go towards the light with my husband while we still can walk,” McCarthy said last month.
McCarthy has a son from a previous relationship, and Wahlberg has two children of his own. The actress says that blending their families wasn’t an easy thing, and they still have their bumps along the way, but she can’t imagine not having her stepsons in her life.
“Integration is not easy for any family, so it took baby steps in some areas. We talked about this last night. We said, ‘It’s funny how we can see how each child is a blessing for each other.’ Like Evan is so influenced by Elijah, Donnie’s son who’s his similar age. And how Elijah means to me in my life that I didn’t necessarily get from anybody before. So if everyone can just realize that integration is for a reason and you look at it like blessings, it makes it so much easier to just accept what is and kind of go through those bumps and grinds with peace,” McCarthy told E! News.
Jenny and Donnie have integrated more than just their families; they’ve also merged their careers, hosting events like Singled Out…Again together last month. Of course, that’s partly because they can’t stand being apart for very long. In fact, McCarthy lamented on the red carpet at the event that they were both upset because they were going to be away from one another for seven hours.
“That may be the longest we’ve been apart since we’ve been together. I can’t even let her go to the bathroom without me. It’s very bizarre and awesome,” Wahlberg said.
McCarthy made headlines last year when she co-hosted Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, as several viewers took to Twitter to remark on her appearance. The 42-year old was accused of having plastic surgery, although she hasn’t commented on the incident.
Donnie Wahlberg has not only been busy with his new bride, he’s also been working with his family at their business, Wahlburgers. The restaurant has grown to several locations over the years and is also the subject of a reality show on A&E.
