Killzone PS3 port delayed indefinitely

You may recall that, back in early January, Sony confirmed that the original Killzone would be making its way to the PlayStation Network in January–January 24, to be specific. And, as you may know, that didn’t happen.

Two weeks later, and the original Killzone–a port of the original PlayStation title, not a remake–still isn’t available on the PlayStation Network, and Sony has done nothing in the way of letting us know what’s going on.

Apparently, Sony hasn’t told the developers of the game what’s going on, either. The studio had this to say in a tweet from the official Killzone Twitter account: “With regards to KZ1 for PS3, not sure what happened but I’ve been informed that it’s been delayed indefinitely.”

News that Killzone was coming to the PlayStation 3 first arose from an ESRB listing back in January. Shortly after the news broke, Sony confirmed to Game Informer that the ESRB’s Killzone listing was legit, and that it would arrive on PlayStation Network in January.

Sony currently hasn’t said whether or not the “indefinite” delay has to due with a game-breaking glitch or something else, so your guess is as good as mine. We’ll let you know if and when Sony has something to say about it.
