NeNe Leakes Vs. Porsha Williams: Will NeNe Risk Friendship Over Money?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes has often said that she is all about getting that check and making that money. Thus far, NeNe has had no competition from her fellow housewives when it comes to landing roles on Glee and The New Normal, but as the wives have seen her success grow, the competition is getting stiff.

After Joan Rivers passed, a position opened up on Fashion Police. Following Kelly Osbourne’s recent departure from the show, it is possible that E! is looking for two additions to complete the fashion panel. It is no secret that NeNe Leakes has been gunning for a seat on the panel, as she was quick to put her name out there after Joan’s passing. As Leakes herself has said, she is the new Rivers.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is now making her case for being the next star on the Fashion Police panel. Her plea comes just days after her friend, Porsha Williams, decided to make her case on Twitter.

“Because I’m fashionable and I keep it real like Joan,” NeNe Leakes revealed about why she should be on the show, adding, “I keep it real and tell it like it is and I love [Joan].”

Of course, it isn’t surprising that NeNe Leakes is gunning for the job, as she wants to do anything for money. But it is surprising that NeNe is going for the job, even though Porsha clearly wants it as well. Of the two, Williams could probably use the money more so than Leakes.

“Hosting experience CHECK – Love of fashion CHECK – love to gossip CHECK!! @e_FashionPolice I think you found your new hostess! #callme,” Williams recently revealed in hopes of getting chosen for the panel.

Fashion Police premieres later this month, so it will be interesting to see who will be on the panel when the show returns. It would be interesting to have two housewives on the show, but it could be a turn-off to some people to have both NeNe Leakes and Porsha on the show. The two are friends, so one has to wonder if this job and possible paycheck could come between them.

According to the Inquisitr, NeNe Leakes has often talked about leaving the show, so she may be hoping that Fashion Police could be her ticket to leave.
