All ‘Titanfall’ DLC Is Now Free In Celebration Of The Title’s First Anniversary

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment released the PvP mech-based title, Titanfall, exactly one year ago today. In honor of the game’s first anniversary, the studio announced on the official Titanfall website that they are now handing out free downloads for all three of the DLC packs for the competitive shooter on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

“In celebration of our one year anniversary, all Titanfall map packs are now available for free on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. You just have to head to the online store on Origin or Xbox and download the Season Pass.”

In addition to offering fans free DLC packs for Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella also provided a personal thanks to everyone who has supported the game over the past year. However, the developer felt that giving Titanfall fans a simple written message of thanks wasn’t enough, which prompted them to release every add-on that Titanfall has released to date for free of charge.

“You’ve given back to us by creating costumes, videos, tournaments and art inspired by the game that continue to amaze the team here at Respawn. In turn, we’ve worked hard to create new modes and features as well as maps to show our commitment to you and keep giving you more reasons to enjoy Titanfall. Thanks again to all of you who’ve supported us and we can’t wait to make more games for you in the future. In the meantime, if you haven’t tried the new maps, we hope you love them and happy anniversary, Titanfall!”

EA and Respawn’s free gift of Titanfall content includes all three DLC packs that make up the title’s season pass. The anniversary offer gives players the chance to download the IMC Rising, Frontier’s Edge, and Expedition add-ons for free. Gamers simply need to own Titanfall on any platform to be able to enjoy the free DLC.

Titanfall is only available on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. However, as the Inquisitrpreviously reported, Respawn has repeatedly expressed their desire to bring future installments of the series to PlayStation platforms, as well.

It is currently unknown how long the Titanfall DLC will be offered for free as part of the title’s one-year anniversary. A Game Informer report noted that all of the game’s expansions can be picked up for free directly on Xbox console. The DLC can also be purchased for no fee from either Xbox.com or through EA’s Origin service.

Will free DLC entice you to start playing Titanfall again?
