Jason “Mayhem” Miller Lives Up To Name: Former UFC Fighter Takes On Police — Again

Jason “Mayhem” Miller was scheduled to appear in court this week following a Saturday night brawl and scuffle with police that resulted in Miller’s arrest.

The brouhaha involving Jason Miller, 34, a former fighter in the UFC who has faced some of the MMA world’s toughest competition, took place in an otherwise generally peaceful Southern California seaside artist community called Laguna Beach.

Whether or not Mayhem was in town to look at art or otherwise, he ultimately ended up in the historic White House restaurant, which is perched on the gently rolling Pacific Coast Highway in the heart of Laguna Beach.

According to Stu News Laguna, Laguna Beach police were called to the White House restaurant around 11:19 p.m. Saturday night. Reports were that an “intoxicated” patron was “breaking glass,” the intoxicated glass-breaker alleged to be Jason “Mayhem” Miller.

Laguna Beach Police Sergeant Tim Kleiser detailed the Jason Miller ruckus, and the resulting mayhem, in a Monday email.

“As officers began to pull up, Miller fled out the front entrance and north towards the 200 block of Park Street. As officers attempted to contact him, he turned around and began running southbound again and into a group of waiting officers who grabbed him. He began resisting and fighting officers in front of a large crowd, which had gathered on the sidewalk outside of The White House. It took four officers to detain Miller with handcuffs… Miller kicked and spat on the officers as he actively resisted. Officers were eventually able to get him into the back of one of police vehicles. He began kicking the windows and spitting inside the vehicle. He was ultimately transported to Orange County Jail.”

The Los Angeles Times reports that Jason Miller was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to face counts that include resisting an officer by using violence, battery on police officers, obstructing the officers, and finally, resisting arrest.

Video captured of Jason “Mayhem” Miller’s arrest shows the MMA fighter already handcuffed but conversing face to face with another man while police hold him back. Jason Miller then showcases some of his mayhem as a Laguna Beach Police SUV arrives to take him away.

“Unlock me, Man! Hey, unlock me!” Jason “Mayhem” Miller seems to say, and, “Let me up!” But the police apparently don’t want to listen and escort/drag Mayhem toward the waiting blue and red lights.

After what appears to be a spirited and fairly long tussle to secure Mayhem in the police vehicle, the cops shut the door and the surrounding crowd cheers.

It’s not the first time Jason “Mayhem” Miller has faced off with the law, however.

Just this past October, Miller barricaded himself in his apartment when authorities arrived to serve him some felony warrants. Not content to just lock the cops out, Jason Miller then took to Twitter, inviting people down to watch the event unfold.

They don’t call him “Mayhem” for nothing.
