Christina Aguilera: ‘There Are Two Sides To Me’
Christina Aguilera is revealing all to fans. The 34-year-old singer is revealing all about motherhood and her music career. Christina gave birth six months ago to daughter Summer Rain. She also has a seven-year-old son, Max, with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. Christina said that motherhood gives her the biggest joy in her life.
“The best thing is seeing my children’s smiles everyday — knowing that they are happy makes me happy. We love to just get to lay in bed, cosy under the blankets and watch classic Disney movies.”
Of course, Aguilera is not letting her age or motherhood stop her from being her saucy and sexy self on stage. The singer revealed that she has “two sides” to her personality.
“There are two sides to me, which I like to keep very separate. There is a performing Christina, and then there me as a mom. It’s important for me to wear these different hats so I don’t bring work home with me.”
Christina says that her children give her tons of inspiration, especially when it comes to her music. She says that they’ve been sparking her creative side, inside and outside of the recording studio.
“My children constantly inspire me. And I love being at home and cuddling with them in my sweatpants. I learn so much from them, and every day is a new and fun adventure. I couldn’t be more lucky to have Max and Summer, they are the lights of my life. Max is such an amazing older brother! I couldn’t be more proud of him. He really has a nurturing side to him and loves being Summer’s big brother.”
The “Your Body” singer also hopes to be a good role model for her daughter, says the Hamilton Spectator.
“I want her to know that she always has a voice, that she should never be afraid to speak her mind and that her opinion is valid. And I want her to know and feel more than anything that love surrounds her.”
Aguilera also spoke to E! News about her new fragrance called Woman, which she calls “sensual and rich.” She said that she was inspired by other strong females in the industry.
“All my scents are inspired by empowering women and helping allow them to embrace their sexuality… I wanted to celebrate all women, how hard we all work to balance all aspects of our lives and really all the strong women I have met over time inspired this fragrance.”
Christina Aguilera is a busy woman these days. Not only is she a powerhouse singer, a Voice coach, and a fragrance connoisseur, but she’s also the latest celebrity to guest star on Nashville.
Christina shared a photo of herself with brunette hair on Instagram. People Magazine says that the singer’s new brunette hair is just a wig. Christina included the caption: “Look at all that hair! Having lots of fun on the set of #Nashville. More to come!”
Christina Aguilera previously spoke with the Hollywood Reporter about her role on ABC’s soapy drama.
“My character is a successful pop singer who desperately wants to move into the country world, as that is her true passion. But she is caught between her passion and what the label wants her to do.”
