Mystery Voice Utah Baby: Inexplicable Voice Leads Officers To Find Trapped Infant In Overturned Car

A mystery voice helped officers find a Utah baby.

At least four officers recall “mysterious voice” that they say led them to find a baby girl trapped inside an overturned car. According to Fox News, four police officers from the Spanish Fork Police Department all say that they heard a voice calling to them — a female voice that cried “help me.” The strange sounds were heard coming from a vehicle that had gone into a river with 40 degree waters.

As they approached the car, the officers said they heard the voice, and rushed to see if there was anyone inside the car that needed rescuing. Much to their surprise, 18-month-old Lily Groesback was in her child seat, passed out — but alive. Her 25-year-old mother was also in the car, but she had passed away.

The mystery voice that helped locate the Utah baby was heard by all of the officers who approached the car, and at one point, one of the men answered the cry for help.

“It wasn’t just something that was just in our heads. To me it was plain as day cause I remember hearing a voice. I think it was Dewitt who said, ‘We’re trying. We’re trying our best to get in there.’ How do you explain that? I don’t know,” said officer Tyler Beddoes. None of the officers know where the voice came from, or who was calling them for help. They also believe that it’s a miracle that Lily survived the crash. It is believed that the car was upside down for over 14 hours.

According to ABC News, the voice is something that no one can explain. Since the woman was dead, and the child was passed out, there wasn’t a clear explanation. Many believe that the voice was otherworldly, and that the fact that Lily survived is truly a miracle.

“There were some individuals on top of the bridge, but all three stated [the voice] came from the vehicle. It prompted us to lift the car between the three officers and firemen. They physically lifted the car from the side, and they located the infant in the car seat at that time,” said Lt. Matt Johnson.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lily was somehow able to survive the crash and the cold temperatures for a long period of time. Some believe that hypothermia may have set in, but that it may have worked in Lily’s favor as it may have forced her body into a “partial lockdown.”

Lily’s condition is currently improving, according to family members. She is still in the hospital.
